The LOONGSWORD Black Dragon Jian pairs an unsharpened, hand-forged patterned steel blade with dark Chinese dragon fittings and a reddish-brown wooden scabbard. Its long, straight profile and detailed metalwork make it a distinctive piece for a collection, cultural display or gift.
Forging and blade finish
Made in Longquan, the blade is shaped through hand forging, filing and grinding, with an eight-faceted hand-ground finish. It undergoes quenching and tempering heat treatment. The visible steel pattern adds detail along the blade while the edge remains unsharpened.
Dragon fittings and wooden scabbard
The zinc-alloy fittings feature sculpted Chinese dragon designs in a dark finish. Dragon relief across the hilt and scabbard fittings contrasts with the warm, reddish-brown wood. The scabbard is supplied as Suanzhi wood.
