The LOONGSWORD Longyao Tai Chi Jian combines a hand-forged patterned steel blade, finely carved brass fittings and a Dipteryx odorata wood scabbard. Dragon and Yin-Yang motifs, warm wood tones and an antiqued metal finish give this modern Chinese straight sword a distinctive presentation for collection, cultural display and controlled solo Tai Chi forms.

Four-faceted rigid blade

The patterned steel blade is hand forged and carefully ground by hand into a four-faceted profile. It is supplied unsharpened. The blade is rigid. Do not attempt to bend it.

Carved brass and wooden scabbard

The brass fittings are finely carved, polished and finished with an antiqued appearance. Dragon relief, cloud scrolls and Yin-Yang details appear across the guard and coordinated scabbard fittings. The scabbard is made from Dipteryx odorata wood and has a reddish-brown appearance.

Care and handling

Wipe the blade dry after handling and apply a light coat of protective oil before storage. Keep the wooden scabbard dry, and clean the antiqued brass gently with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive polishing. Intended for adult collection, cultural display and controlled solo martial arts forms. Do not bend the blade or use it for cutting or contact practice. Unsharpened steel can still cause injury; handle carefully and keep away from children.
