Traditional Chinese Miao Dao

The LOONGSWORD Miao Dao features the long, elegant proportions associated with this distinctive Chinese dao form. Handmade in Longquan, Zhejiang, China, it combines a high manganese steel blade with full-tang construction, a long rosewood handle, a matching rosewood scabbard, and decorative alloy fittings.

High Manganese Steel Blade

The blade is hand forged from high manganese steel, followed by hand grinding and polishing to refine its surface and profile. At approximately 35 inches / 90 cm in blade length, its elongated form gives the Miao Dao a distinctive presence compared with shorter Chinese dao styles.

Full-Tang Construction

The blade extends through the handle in a full-tang construction. The approximately 13.7-inch / 35 cm rosewood handle provides the long grip traditionally associated with Miao Dao proportions and complements the warm natural appearance of the matching scabbard.

Rosewood Handle and Scabbard

Both the handle and scabbard are made from rosewood, creating a consistent natural wood presentation. Decorative alloy fittings add visual detail while preserving the restrained character of the overall design.

Longquan Craftsmanship

Produced in Longquan, Zhejiang, China, this Miao Dao reflects the region's established tradition of Chinese sword craftsmanship.
